| Exhausted, worn down, and
dead-tired: a permanent condition? |
| The study shows the way to vitality |
Do you constantly feel exhausted, weary, and worn-out?
Perhaps you are suffering from a condition of functional exhaustion, a syndrome
that the French scientist Martine Le Gal has investigated in detail. |
| The study set-up |
232 men and women, who had all been suffering
from conditions of functional exhaustion for over 15 years, were selected
and then randomly divided into two groups. The subjects in the first group
were administered a capsule twice a day, which contained a special combination
of vital substances (vitamins, minerals, trace elements as well as the standardized
G115® ginseng extract), while the second group received a placebo. |
| The 20-point list |
All subjects had to choose five symptoms out of
a list of 20 that illustrated the typical complaints of their functional
exhaustion, ranging from concentration problems and fatigue to exhaustion
and depression. Using a 4-point scale, the subjects described how frequently
they experienced their symptoms, choosing between "not at all", "sometimes",
"most of the time", and "always". |
| Either Pharmaton® or placebo |
The Le Gal study was a double-blind study, so
neither the test subjects nor the treating physicians knew which of the
two products they were receiving. The clinical examination lasted 42 days,
and during this time the subjects described their top five symptoms at regular
intervals |
| Simply significant |
Which group had done better? The results were
statistically and clinically significant: The complaints of the group receiving
the nutritional product had considerably subsided, in contrast to the group
receiving placebo. Therefore it was determined that the combination of vital
substances plus G115® ginseng extract helps in treating conditions of functional
exhaustion and thereby also vitality deficiency. Physical and mental fitness
were noticeably.
